Ole Norman has a point! By now you have either read, or experienced, the EPA's process of regulation on waste streams, or process by-products. In discussions, we have heard the pros and cons, but our focus with this this post is to start a REAL conversation - a conversation on how these EPA standards are affecting you and your business! How has your bottom-line been affected by existing, new, or coming regulations?
All production creates a waste stream, and that waste stream must be contained, packaged and transported, but how that is done, while staying compliant within the boundaries of the EPA's guidelines is where the rubber meets the road.
Industry markets being effected:
- Petrochemical plants providing fuels, plastics, etc.
- Drilling industries, both off shore and onshore, that provide crude oil and natural gas for energy production
- Energy and Utilities companies that provide electricity through nuclear, coal, and natural gas methods
- Remediation industries, both nuclear and hazardous
- Industrial facilities that produce, end-user products like paper and tires
- Small service and rental providers like industrial cleaning, pump, and frac tank rentals
These are just a few examples of the many industrial markets that provide products that we rely on for everyday needs. We have to agree that many regulations are created, implemented, and enforced by the EPA to purposefully make our world safe, but do you think at some point overregulation will call for companies to not be able to stay in business?
