Dewatering Filtration Solutions Unmatched

Sometimes we say thing we shouldn’t say!
How’s that for an opening statement?
How many times have we said something without thinking about what we have said and next thing you know . . . Foot in Mouth Disease! All because we didn't think before we spoke. How often have you thought -
“Did I just say that out loud?”
I am raising my hand on that one! (At this point it is alright to go ahead and raise yours too.)
And taking this one step further (because after all we are creatures of blaming others right?), there are friends who are supposed to be there when you need them. You know, the ones who are supposed to help you filter what you say. Sadly sometimes that filter gets there right after the most effective thing you said had the largest impact.
At that point they are transformed from “Best Friend” to “Some Friend (you are)”. In reality, we are responsible for the comments we make, not someone else.
Dewatering Filtration by Definition
What really is a filter? By definition a filter is a device that helps remove one thing from another. It’s that certain “thing” whose sole purpose is to help separate, or strain, one part so that what was once a mixture is now two parts!
In the industrial sector we like to use the term “filtering” in conjunction with “dewatering” – as in a “dewatering filter”. When you have a sludge that needs to be dewatered you use a filtration system to remove the liquid from the solid. This can happen through the means of gravity, or pressure, and sometimes with the inclusion of a chemical agent called a flocculant.
The purpose of dewatering is transform one waste into two parts that can be captured, reprocessed, contained, or treated. In some cases the liquids filtered in some sludges can be released into a municipal storm drain system, compliant with the Clean Water Act.
Innovative DeWatering Solutions
Dewatering innovation. PacTec is the industry innovator in recognizing a need, looking at what is readily available, and creating a cost effective solution. We custom engineered two dewatering solutions that turned the dewatering industry on its head by allowing companies to dewater on-site . . . wherever that site may be!
Let me introduce you to PacTec’s cost effective dewatering filtration systems:
- Using both woven and non-woven media, DePac® cost-effectively dewaters sludges and captures solids for disposal or recovery. DePac is an easy-to-use alternative to renting dewatering equipment, and it is versatile enough to work with most industrial waste containers.
- GeoPac™ geotextile dewatering tube is the solution for effective dewatering and volume reduction of various types of sludge materials. This innovative tube dewaters immediately and continuously as the tube is filled, thereby saving money in the long term. GeoPac uses outward pressure to dewater instead of relying solely on gravity, and can be used for agricultural waste, industrial sludge, municipal sewage treatment plants, beach restoration, and erosion contro
