Working in extremely challenging conditions, a number of hurdles were overcome with the use of a bespoke PacTec bag package. A further project to safely remove old ILW fuel skips from a legacy storage pond at Sellafield used bespoke PacTec packaging to provide a safe and fit for purpose solution as a key activity to risk reduction for the Sellafield site. To quote Dorothy Gradden, Sellafield Head of Legacy Pond Projects, “PacTec has a really innovative product that has revolutionised the way we package items taken out of Legacy Ponds.
