Hired directly by the founder immediately following his graduation from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University (BS in Aerospace Engineering) in 1992, Troy has learned every facet of our business and the industries we serve. Nearly thirty years later, Troy Town has seen the company grow from humble beginnings to a global corporation employing hundreds across the globe.
In his time at PacTec, Troy has played a vital role in Sales, Engineering, and Research and Development. Additionally, he has implemented and improved product designs, facility layout and construction, and our manufacturing processes. Troy has also been instrumental in writing, submitting, and securing patents for our newest ideas and innovative designs.
Presently, Troy oversees our engineering team as they work effortlessly in creating new products and designs for PacTec. "We have an amazing, diverse team of engineers that are constantly creating innovative new products to provide our customers a more efficient, cost-effective solution - and that makes me extremely proud," he says.
"It's that spirit of teamwork and out-of-the-box approach to the status quo that has us celebrating our 23rd patent – the first dating back to our initial product, the TransLiner®, in 1989. We are never satisfied and are always challenging ourselves to find new solutions to today's ever-changing waste landscape, improve on our products, and fine-tune our processes to be the best version of ourselves."
When asked what his proudest work achievement has been, he laughs at all the memories made, and accomplishments celebrated over the years. "Most recently, we have made tremendous strides in our manufacturing processes utilizing some creative equipment that really differentiates us from our competition. Developing groundbreaking products that become patented is always fun, too," he quips.
It is evident that Troy enjoys solving problems and representing PacTec as a partner – not just a vendor. His years of experience and array of knowledge keep him in high demand. Daily, you can find Troy interacting with our sales team on customer calls working diligently to identify unique customer solutions. Originally from Clinton, LA, Troy is the patriarch of his very own Brady Bunch. He shares the “story of a lovely lady” with wife Tiffany and their blended family. Troy beams with pride of his three sons Forrest, River, and Stone, and his wife's son Brandon and sassy daughter Elizabeth. They are also blessed to have all their parents still living and spend every opportunity together they can manage! When not busy with the football, baseball, dancing, and singing activities of their kids, Troy can be found riding his motorcycle, working in the yard, or escaping to the beach for some rest and relaxation.
