PacTec Holds Christmas Toy Drive for Local Children's Hospital

Last Updated On Dec 7, 2021

With Christmas soon approaching and many families spending their Christmas holidays at OLOL Children's Hospital in Baton Rouge with sick kids, employees of PacTec, Inc. in Clinton decided to take action. We reached out to the hospital about holding a toy drive, and luckily with COVID protocols in place, we were given the ability to “Pack the Bag” with new toys. A continuation of their annual charitable fundraising efforts, employees from all departments of PacTec, Inc. donated toys or money for these hospitalized children in hopes of filling one of their cubic yard waste packaging bags. Together, their nearly 100 Clinton based employees reached their goal, collecting over 300 toys valued at nearly $5,000. They were loaded up and delivered this week to the hospital in Baton Rouge for distribution.

“It amazes me how our employees give of themselves throughout the year to help others. They truly take our leadership’s Christian values to heart,” says Trey Castleberry, Marketing Director at PacTec, Inc. “I can't imagine the stress that having a sick child during the holiday places on a family, plus having to worry about providing a traditional Christmas. We knew we could find a way to relieve some of that stress and spread some love and holiday cheer to others through this drive.”
